Re: West Ham v Man Utd - Official Match Thread 1-2 FT
Guys, Threesixty isn't claiming he wasn't offside. Kouyate was offside but it was marginal. Bits of him was offside. It wasn't like Costa 's goal v Norwich or Terry 's equaliser v Everton when there was a gap between the last defender & the goal scorer. There was no obvious 'daylight' (which I know is no longer part of the rules). Bits of Kouyate was offside but a large portion of him was level.

I believe that Fellaini was more offside for Man U's 2nd goal but that wasn't spotted.

Threesixty's point is pretty much summed up by those two decisions. Both players offside. One is seen by the officials & the other isn't.

Trent, I thought exactly the same thing when I saw it - Fellaini miles offside, but when I got back home and slo-mo'd the whole thing a few times, no matter how hard I tried to make it offside, he was dead in line!

Cunt.

Now the foul on Payet, I watched back a number of times and the more I watch it the more I have to agree with the 2 Man U fans I was talking to earlier this morning, a definite penalty. Still, par for the course.

If we didn't have bad luck, we'd have no luck at all.

And no Soldo, I STILL don't believe in any conspiracy either.

We had a legit one chalked off against the goons. That was injustice. No complaints about that one last night. And if those get given against you, you get the right hump, and call the ref a cunt.

Your youtube clip shows Kouyate clearl offside, rightly disallowed.

Re: West Ham v Man Utd - Official Match Thread 1-2 FT
I'm not saying he wasnt offside.
I'm saying it would have been pretty hard to tell for certain that he was by the ref it was so close.

So it's a bit of a gamble to give offside.
It's not like he's a mile off. He isnt even facing the goal when he's flagged! It's part of his boot that's offside.

The attitude that we have to it, is "oh it was offside for ffs"..
do you think Fergusson or Wenger would have just brushed that off? That's the point, the big teams get the decisions because they complain so much that they get all the 50/50 decisions. Where as we dont.

Thats the point.

oh and we should have killed the game at Old Trafford. we blew a big opportunity there.

I'm sorry Goose, I thought we had buried them at OT? Well, the game I watched we did. I also remember the big Kraut bundling Randolph out of the way for their so called 'equaliser' that never was. And the cunt of a ref gave it!

And no Soldo, before you ask, I don't believe it was a conspiracy!

Absolutely clutching at straws here. Kouyate was clearly offside. If it was the other way round and not given, we would have been livid.

I think your evidence there works against your point.

We were the better team in a number instances where decision have gone against us lately but last night was not one of them.

It's offside. Move on ffs.

Re: West Ham v Man Utd - Official Match Thread 1-2 FT
Just looked at our 2nd goal on youtube.
It's so close, like half a boot or something. I'm surprised any ref in the world could tell that was off side for definite.

I think the fact that he started off on in an offside position and was walking back made the ref think that he must have been offside when the ball was played back.

But when you see the replay he was pretty much level with Mensah.

The difference between us and Man U is the consequences that the ref has to put up with if he flagged that as offside if it was their goal. Utd would have been livid and made it known to the FA that it was not on. The ref just doesnt want the hassle. But for us, we dont complain, we just shrug it off and say oh well..

I think we should really start having a go at the ref for EVERY decision now. Annoy them so much that they just dont want to deal with us having a go at them anymore. Then we'll start getting decisions like these.

Thats what Fergie did. He did it so much he even go the injury time rules changed to favour his teams!

As I said, we many have been cm offside. But the point is there is no way the linesman could have been certain of that at all. He either gambled or was influenced by "other" factors.

Lew - That' what the big teams do,son, it's tough at the top. This is what we have to aspire to and with 60000 people watching the pressure is on. The next 6 games will telll us a lot about how big our balls are.

We can't lose again to these cunts next month. Have to treat that one as a cup final.

ioc- As I thought. Still a lot to play for then. I don't like Thurs/Sun football, but I agree with what you said yesterday that the Europa league is a stepping stone for us, and I hope we get there.

IMO Liverpool with their games in hand and the momentum they've built will finish above us, bloody infuriating that we've had such a good season and the usual suspects are creeping in at the last minute.

On the night, they were the better side.

We can't really have any complaints. Still fucking painful though.

Re: West Ham v Man Utd - Official Match Thread 1-2 FT
better side wont on the night - pure & simple. what niggles me is two things:
1 - we were set-up wrong for the second game in a row, and for the second time in a row Slav waited too long to change it.
2 - when we really went for it they were fragile (last ten mins), wish we had gone at them earlier.

hindsight is a wonderful thing though.

I just hope we can recover and finsih top 6, to finish below that now will be disappointing.

Btw, if manu won the cup will a Europa Leage spot go down to 7th?

I absolutely hate myself for saying this because you seem like such a nice man, but you don't half talk some absolute bollocks, Alf.

It's been constant for years too. Same thing after every defeat ffs.
